It was fun while it lasted. That's pretty much the word on Deadpool and I've not all that much to add to it.
It reads like a bunch of dudebros have taken time off their busy schedule at 'Funny or Die' to get slaughtered and circle jerk out a screenplay, then poured it into an envelope and sent it to Fox, who gave it to a first time director with a minuscule budget but felt all meta about it because that fact was called out in the opening credits.
That's about as subversive as you're going to get from this masturbatory mutant fest. It comments on the genre but strictly adheres to it. It pays lip service to the character's hyper-sexual presence but never follows through. They so could have taken this one step further. Or even five.
Fun that could have been funner.
